Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with English as one of the compulsory subjects.

Candidates must have passed from Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as their main subjects.

Candidates who have passed Class 12th examination from National Institute of Open School or State Open School are also considered eligible for ANM admission.

The minimum percentage requirement for admission may vary from one college to another, but one must secure at least 40% aggregate marks in both general and compulsory subjects.

The minimum age for ANM admission is 17 years and the maximum age of the admission is 35 years.
